Higher education recognition procedure is under the responsibility of the individual higher education organizations.
There are two types of recognition procedures:
- Recognition Procedure for the Purpose of Employment (Academic Recognition Procedure)
- Recognition Procedure for the Purpose of Continuation of Education (Professional Recognition Procedure).
Important Note: Starting with October 1st, 2015, professional recognition procedure is under the responsibility of ENIC/NARIC Centre Serbia.
ENIC / NARIC Serbia (Center for Information on the recognition of foreign higher education qualifications and recognition for employment purposes) is part of an international network of information centers on recognition and recognition of foreign higher education qualifications - detailed information on ENIC/NARIC Website.
Note: each national coordinator of ENIC / NARIC informs the public about the procedures of recognition exclusively for their country.
Recognition for the purpose of further education will remain under the jurisdiction of independent higher education institutions.
After the establishment of the Centre, a higher education institution in the Republic of Serbia are obliged to continue to work on the recognition of foreign higher education qualifications in both of these purposes, in accordance with past practice.
